Every design project starts with brainstorming, sketching, and research. As I find inspiration from an author’s words, my surroundings or initial sketches, I move to a digital medium. I work primarily in adobe products like Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

I’ve been working with words in some capacity or another for over a decade. I’ve been in the publishing industry since 2012.
I’ve always loved books and stories are at the core of everything I do: books, brands, and design are all about storytelling.

There’s a lot of debate about the etymology here. The word ‘octopus’ is rooted in ancient Greek, but was translated into English from Latin, so there’s room for error. Besides, ‘octopi’ is fun to say!
I have great respect for the English language, but I also find that sometimes those ‘made up’ words better communicate a meaning. And Shakespeare got to do it.
